it's been a while, and all I've posted in this blog are just announcements and copy-paste stuffs.
I've been thinking to write things about architecture - just to show the result of 4 years of study. But never work on it.
So just wait for a while until I settle down, and I'll give u a glimpse of architecture through Kim's eyes.
And I got 4 to boot to that :P - joke!

Just an introduction to start up.
What is Architecture to you? In MY opinion, architecture is not just about building, it's a tool to convey culture and function, an idea to resolve issues, asset that portrays political movement and also connected to economical situation.
Too hard to understand? But for mere public, architecture is just a building. Yes?
People appreciate more of 'creative' and 'beautiful' architecture. example we have in Melbourne: Fed Square, State Lib, REB. Or Sydney Opera House. But how many people (other than those whom who have more concern toward environment) really do know about CH2?
In case of Malaysian architecture, how many appreciate Mahkota Hotel, Melaka? They only see the twin tower, Crystal Mosque, Hijjaz Kasturi's towers.
Owh, FYI many lectures from RMIT thinks Malaysia is not a good country as a resource of Asian architecture except for the traditional one. What a shame... (or it just need to be discovered?)

we seek to impress when what we have is more impressive. more or less..
to me, what i look for in an architect is their ability to design/build to people's needs. The aesthetic value comes second =)
